How it Works

Our polypropylene woven turf covers come in black and white, the latter is more suited to courses using covers to prevent frost damage and promote earlier green-up.The white model is also very effective for growing in either bentgrass of bermuda grass during the off-season. They're the type of cover that you can put on and essentially leave on. Courses in southern or transition zones can take advantage of the white cover to speed grow-in, it allows about 80 percent of the radiant heat through and can use the covers later to protect against frost and freezing conditions.

Our black green covers are the company's most popular option for most course superintendents. These are for greens that are already grown-in. They can be pt on or taken off on a daily basis, or for courses in the northern part of the country, they can be left on to protect the green and prevent early green-up. Over 100 outstanding golf courses have ordered our products, click here to view a list of our clients.

Both covers are breathable and made from UV-stabilized woven polypropylene, they are not meant to be waterproof. Some northern course attendants feel they need to be waterproof and we're conducting research to how them that is not the case. Our covers are sold across the U.S. from Myrtle Beach to southern California, the transition zone. Our covers are made to be put on and taken off on a regular basis and have handles around the perimeter, these allow for easier pull-around and serve as tie-down points preventing you from having to punch holes in the cover all the time.

The covers often pay for themselves in a couple of seasons and offer tens of thousands in savings per year on labor, seed, fertilizer and herbicide normally used for transition. The typical set of covers typically takes three to four hours for a two to three man crew to put out on the entire course. Handling is helped with the inclusion of a carry/storage bag for each green cover.
